AAHA Announces Final Full-Day Officiating Seminar in Aston, PA, on Saturday, March 29

Shane Hanlon announced that the last officiating training seminar of the 2002-2003 season will take place at Ice Works in Aston, PA on Saturday, March 29. Registration is open to new officials and returning officials eligible for Levels 1 or 2 who have not already attended a seminar.

The seminar will begin at 9:00am, with check in for pre-registered attendees beginning at 8:30. No walk-up registrations will be accepted. The seminar will conclude at around 5:00pm.

Beef and Beer to Benefit Ed O'Donnell's Family Scheduled for March 1

Joe Franchetti sent us an announcement of a fundraiser for Ed O'Donnell's family that will take place on Saturday, March 1, in Mantua, NJ. According to the announcement Joe sent us:

Please join us in remembering Ed O'Donnell. We are hosting a benefit in memory of Ed O'Donnell and would love for all to attend.

Date: Saturday, March 1, 2003

Time: 7pm - 11pm

Place: Incarnation Church Hall, Main St. (off of Route 45), Mantua, NJ


Entertainment will be provided by Jimmy Graham, also known as The Round Boy, who has appeared on The Howard Stern Show and with Artie Lang and Friends. There will also be auctions and door prize drawings.

How to Contribute to the Education Fund for Ed O'Donnell's Children

On January 10, 2003, Edward J. O'Donnell of Mullica Hill, NJ, had a heart attack and died while officiating a high school ice hockey game in Pennsauken, NJ.
