ECAC To Hold Ice Hockey Officiating Tryouts

For the third consecutive year the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) will be holding open tryouts for individuals interested in officiating intercollegiate ice hockey.

Tryouts will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 at the ESL Sports Centre in Rochester, New York, and from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22 at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

Candidates will go through an on-ice skating session and will complete the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Ice Hockey Rules Exam.

Individuals interested in attending the tryouts must register at www.ecac.org. Questions regarding the tryouts can be sent to Michael Letzeisen, ECAC Assistant Director of Ice Hockey and Rowing (mletzeisen [at] ecac.org, 508-771-5060 ext. 236).

The ECAC assigns officials for the ECAC Men’s East Ice Hockey League, ECAC Men’s West Ice Hockey League, ECAC Northeast Ice Hockey League, ECAC Women’s East Ice Hockey League, ECAC Women’s West Ice Hockey League, New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), Niagara University, Robert Morris College and the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).

Funeral Arrangements for Joe Franchetti's Mother Announced

On May 19, 2008, age 66, (nee Predpelski). Wife of Theodore of Magnolia, NJ. Dear mother of Joseph of Magnolia and Jennifer Woods (Harry) of Glendora, grandmother of Joseph and Victoria Franchetti and Nicholas and Matthew Woods, sister of Joseph Predpelski of Collingswood.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 AM at St. Gregory Church, Evesham and White Horse Pike, Magnolia, NJ. Inurnment St.Joseph Cemetery. Visitation from 9 AM to 9:45 AM at the Church.
