ECHA and USA Hockey Reach Agreement for Officiating Staffing

The Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association (ECHA) has decided to use USA Hockey Officials for the upcoming 2004-05 season. This agreement expands the opportunities for many of the local officials in the Atlantic District. In the past, very little college hockey was assigned using USA Hockey Officials. The hope is that the ECHA/USA Hockey relationship will become the model for other college leagues within our District. The Eastern Collegiate Hockey Officials Association is being organized for the purpose of developing and maintaining an officiating staff for the ECHA.

The ECHA has teams throughout the Atlantic District. Therefore, we need officials from all over the Tri-State area. We have created a webpage so that officials who wish to tryout to work ECHA games can fill out an application and keep up to date with the new relationship. Any official who feels ready college to officiate college hockey in this area is encouraged
