Ian Walsh pointed out that Zak Blazic was named to the on-ice officiating staff for the Finals two weeks ago, and has worked games 1, 35, and 7 of the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Finals in the Central Hockey League (CHL).

Congratulations to Zak on a huge accomplishment and good luck in the series.

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the four referees and three linesmen that will make up the on-ice officials crew for the 2013 CHL Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Finals that begins on Tuesday at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas when the Americans host the Wichita Thunder.

Brett Sheva and Chris Pitoscia Selected for 2013 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs

Brett Sheva and Chris Pitoscia, two 26-year-old referees who got their start in the Atlantic District, successfully completed their first full seasons on the ECHL officiating staff and were selected to officiate in the 2013 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Brett, from Horsham, PA, and Chris, from Edison, NJ, both moved up to the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League in North America from the USHL, where they had successfully refereed the Clark Cup Finals in previous seasons. They've also officiated in other minor professional and NCAA varsity leagues since the USHL.
